LENS NEWS Sony announces E-mount 30mm F3.5 Macro

Sony has announced its fourth lens for NEX cameras, in the shape of the E 30mm F3.5 macro (or SEL30M35). Billed as the world's lightest macro for interchangeable lens cameras capable of life-size 1:1 magnification, it uses internal focusing to achieve a minimum working distance of less than an inch from the front of the lens. It also promises quiet autofocus for both stills and video use. The lens will be available in October at a suggested retail price of around $250.
